Project idea: Sports live broadcasting

The former means ‘Seahawks 20 – San Diego 14’ in Morse code. If there is one regular social event—not single date fixed, as elections or award ceremonies—that really hooks the audience on live broadcasting is Sports. I want to overview how the different communication technologies have dealt with sports scores and broadcasting during history and then focus on the disrupted role of the Internet: how the different sites, services and applications are changing or can change in the near future the way the fan experiences the transmission, how the user can select her or his degree of implication or detail, the different ways of data delivery, how the group experience of ‘watch the game together’ has changed…

    Hi Zurxo – it’s possible that a focus on /sports scores/ will be too narrow — I don’t know if there will be any academic research upon which you can build your paper.
